Day Trips Experiences
What Amy from Vietnam thought of the day
The trip to York on Saturday 5 th March swill stay in our memories not only because of the awesome historical buildings but also the fast season changes within just 8 hours. Setting off at 9.30 am we got to York at 10 o'clock . We were taken by Dave around the city centre and the market. York is a historical city with many little streets with different names which usually feature the theme of the place. This is what I found so exciting about the place; each thing I saw on the bridge, in the minster, .seemed to have its history or links with some past event.
We passed the place called Little Shambles, Chocolate heaven (where we could see the delightful happiness in many peoples faces) the York market and stopped for lunch in the warm cosy room where we settled for half an hour enjoying sandwiches fish and chips,. then we spent the afternoon doing as we wanted, some were checking out various shops in the city centre, others took the sightseeing bus around the city whilst the rest simply went to the nearby park to take in the good views of the city, or enjoyed a cup of tea with their friends.
I spent most of my time in the afternoon at York Minster, enjoying listening to the story of the features inside the Minister, such as when and how it was built. This is so intriguing I always wanted to know. Two house inside the Minster and I still want to come back soon one day to see more o the place.
Thanks to Candy, Phil, Dave and global café for organising the trip. We look forward to the next day trip as the friendliness of everyone involved made the whole thing lovely and enjoyable

Trip to Scarborough
The trip to Scarborough was a fun experience. Firstly we walked beside the beach, next visited the Scarborough Castle which is the top tourist attraction there, following that we passed the city centre to finally find ourselves back in the beach playing some games. Besides the fact of visiting another town, having some fun, getting to know better the other people which came, the price was about twice lower than then they usually charge via train travel. Incredible!
