LEEDS MET CHRISTIAN UNION Who are Leeds Met Christian Union? The Christian Union is a group of Christian Students who meet together to: support one another in being Christians, to learn about God, and to tell others about God. What do the Christian Union do? The main meetings are on Thursday evenings at the chaplaincy near Parkinson Steps at 7:30p.m. These meetings involve worshipping God, listening to a talk from the Bible and praying to God. There are also socials to get to know each other. Who goes to the Christian Union meetings? Most of the group are British Christians but International Christians have really enjoyed being part of the Christian Union in the past. The Christian Union welcomes all International Students and anyone can attend the meetings, however some knowledge of Christianity would be helpful to understand the meetings (if you don’t know much about Christianity, the discovering Christianity groups would be more appropriate for you link) How can attend a meeting? If you would like to go then either speak to Global Café helper about this next time you are at a global café and they can go along with you. Or please email Caroline Marshall who would be glad to meet you so you could go together to a meeting. |
