LOCAL CHURCHES

Global Café is a partnership of different Christians so we have team members from different churches. Rather than give a long list of all the different churches in Leeds here are the churches which Global Café team members are part of and they would be happy to meet you to go with you to a service.

Church: Gateway

Service Times: Sunday: 10.15am - refreshments served 10.45 meeting starts

A Little Bit About it: Gateway is a very friendly church with lively worship songs and good teaching from the Bible. There are many young people and students in Gateway. During the week there are smaller 'Community Groups' meeting on Tuesday or Wednesday in various homes across the city. Twice a month the church also gathers for prayer meeting called Powerhouse. Gateway is part of the worldwide family of churches called "Newfrontiers".

How to Get There: City Varieties Theatre, Swan Street, off the Briggate, in Leeds City Centre. Opposite McDonald's and Borders.

Church: Mosaic

Service Times: Sunday: 4pm

A Little Bit About it: Mosaic is a new church which started last September. It is part of a larger Church organisation called New Frontiers International (NFI). The church service is contemporary in style with modern songs. They have small Bible study groups during the week which focus on different areas of need in the city, such as the homeless and refugees.

How to Get There: Holy Trinity Church , Boar Lane , Leeds. Boar Lane is opposite the Train station, leading towards the Leeds Shopping Plaza .

Church: South Parade Baptist Church

Service Times: Sunday: 10.30am ; 3pm ; 6.30pm

A Little Bit About it: A large church with a big student congregation near the Headingley Campus. The morning Sunday service is more traditional and family orientated with a mix of hymns and modern songs. The 3pm service is smaller and more informal and relaxed. The evening service has a larger number of people, is centred more on students and is modern in style. Small groups meet during the week for Bible studies.

How to Get There: Kirkstall Lane , Headingley. At the top of Cardigan Road , near to The Arc and Trio Bars
